My name is DesignBoyy.
Brand
& Web Designer.
I'm Fiyebo Paul, but on the internet, I'm better known as DesignBoyy.
I'm a Brand & Web Designer with a growing obsession for everything that happens where design, technology and creativity meet. I work across brand identity, social media design, campaign design, web design and digital experiences, and depending on who's asking, I could also be a creative director, UI designer, strategist, developer, or the guy trying to figure out how to make an idea that exists in someone's head actually come to life on a screen.
I've never really been the kind of person who could stay in one box for too long. I started with graphic design, then slowly found myself getting interested in branding, then interfaces, then websites, then the technology behind those websites.
These days, I can spend the afternoon designing a brand identity in Photoshop and end the night writing code, experimenting with a new AI tool, or figuring out how to make a website interaction feel just a little more interesting.
Come, Take A Scroll
How This All Started
I grew up in Nigeria as one of five children, and being the eldest came with its own set of responsibilities. I lost my dad when I was sixteen, and growing up wasn't always the easiest thing in the world. There were moments when life had a very good way of reminding me that I couldn't always wait for the perfect circumstances before trying to build something for myself.
I think that's part of why I've always been comfortable figuring things out as I go.
My relationship with computers and technology started pretty naturally. I was fascinated by what these machines could do, and like a lot of people my age, I initially approached them mostly with curiosity. But eventually, that curiosity moved from simply consuming things to wanting to create them.
Graphic Design was my starting point, but it opened the door to branding, business, technology, education and a bunch of other things I never expected to get into..
I came into the world on January 29 on a Thursday night, in Sangotedo Lagos, Nigeria. I was born and raised in Lagos, and growing up there has definitely shaped a lot of who I am today.
I’m also from Arogbo Town in Ese-Odo, Ondo State, so although Lagos is where a lot of my story happened, I’ve always had another place I could call home.
My journey with design started long before I had a fancy title for it. What began as an interest in making things visually appealing gradually became something much bigger.
Over time, I moved from graphic design into branding, social media design, web design and digital experiences. I’ve also spent a lot of time teaching, sharing what I know and helping other people get better at design.
Today, I work under the name DesignBoyy, combining design, technology and creativity in pretty much whatever form catches my attention. Some days I'm designing a brand identity, other days I'm deep in Figma, building a website, writing code or experimenting with an AI tool I probably didn't need to open at 2 AM.
And honestly, I don't think I've figured out exactly where the journey ends. I'm enjoying that part.
Music is one of those things that can completely change my mood or the way I experience a moment.
I listen to a bit of everything depending on the day. My music taste is probably easier to understand if you just look at my recently played songs than if I try to explain it here.
I’m a football guy. I follow the game, watch matches whenever I can and, yes, I support Manchester City.
I enjoy the football itself, but I also love everything around it.
Life Outside The Screen
Let Me Tell Yah
Of course, there's more to me than Photoshop, Figma and code. I'm also a university student studying Computer Science, which has given me an interesting combination of worlds to navigate. On one side, there's design — visual thinking, creativity, branding and aesthetics. On the other, there's technology, logic, systems and problem-solving.
I've realised that I actually enjoy living somewhere in between those two worlds. I'm not interested in choosing between being creative and being technical. I want both, and I think that combination is becoming a bigger part of the kind of work I want to create.
But honestly, even outside design and tech, I'm a pretty curious person. I like learning new things,
trying things I have absolutely no business trying yet, figuring out how stuff works and then somehow
turning that curiosity into another project.
I'm also big on sharing what I learn, which is
probably why
teaching, building communities and helping other creatives have become such a natural part of what I do.
A lot of what I'm building today comes from simply wanting more for myself and the people around me, and
I think that's why I'm rarely satisfied with staying where I am for too long.
My Workspace
Where the Magic Happens
This is where ideas turn into reality. My setup is designed to keep me focused, inspired, and productive.
I believe a well-organized workspace is essential for clear thinking and creative output, allowing me to switch seamlessly between design and code.
